A few weeks ago, I read that on this one night, we could see the dark side of the moon! Now I know that the moon always keeps the same side turned toward us, so I could not figure out how this could be. Turns out it was something about the sun shining on parts of the moon that it usually doesn't. Anyway, fortunately there were not clouds on that night! So here you have it...the dark side of the moon. My very last shot is the normal side for comparison. I can tell a difference.
Here is the side of the moon we always see.
“The people who walked
in darkness have seen a
great light. For those who lived in a land of deep shadows— light!”
Each evening at sunset, hundreds of birds do a dance in the sky. Swirling around and back, they are going to roost for the night. It is startling and beautiful to see. I snapped these on two different nights, as you can see.
Some bright morning
when this life is over, I’ll fly away
To a land on God’s celestial shore, I’ll fly away
When the shadows of
this life have gone, I’ll fly away
Like a bird from these prison walls I’ll fly, I’ll fly away
My followers are so sharp! You were right. This is a dead cornfield. But interwoven between the dead stalks are beautiful morning glories. The dead supporting the living. I was enchanted. So here are the best of my pictures.
