The Burden

"Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Does he not leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it? And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders and goes home."  Luke 15:4

Meet Harley, the little Yorkie who's ready to rock your world! His owner rides around town on a big Harley, and little Harley loves to ride on his shoulders! He can see everything from his high perch. Shoulders are a good place to be, they are strong enough to carry quite a load. When Jesus carried the cross on his shoulders, it had the weight of every person who has ever been born on it. And he was strong enough to do it. The shoulders of God are a mighty and welcoming place, and even the power of a Harley can't touch them! In fact, nothing can touch them.

"He says "I removed the burden from their shoulders; their hands were set free from the basket. In your distress you called and I rescued you..."   Psalm 81:6

Oh my goodness. That dog is so cute!!
Great scripture, Ginny. No, Gary will not be carving our ear, we found a guy on the internet who will be coming through and will stop to do it. Hopefully the tree will be solid enough that he can do it...
Hope all is well with you and Phil.

Harley is adorable! I'm just fearful if the rider ever has to stop suddenly and poor Harley goes flying! I'm so glad I know that I'm secure in my Shepherd's arms! Love the way you weave these stories!

How cute! Harley is adorable in his goggles, cap and jacket. You should have seen the smile that appeared on my face when your blog opened and I saw your header.

This so reminds me of that commercial with the two macho mechanics holding their little dogs and talking about who does the dogs nails. Very cute.

To be quite honest, I'm not much for dogs that have to behave like they are human...but this is an adorable picture! Thank God that he accepts those who people don't like - and looks for us when we are lost.

That is just about THE CUTEST thing I have ever seen. And he is not afraid - I love it. And his 'person' loves him!

What a cute dog! Oh my goodness I want to take him home...sort of. And, I only want the dog and not the guy! Talk about smiling at your header!! I love the way you bring Jesus to every one everywhere you go. It's so natural and not forced at all. I love it.

I have to agree with Karin, I would be concerned for "Little Harley" riding on Harley's shoulders in the event of a rapid stop. I too, feel much safer resting on the Lord's shoulders. Having stated that, may I say, I love this picture of these two. Adore the goggles on Little Harley. What a wonderful post this is Ginny. Blessings on your day.

That is just the most adorable thing I've ever seen. Harley is one cool looking biker dude :) I bet he gets quite a ride up there. It's amazing that he's not afraid to ride like that
