Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to all my wonderful followers! Any resolutions? To me, each morning is like New Years. It is a brand new day with new chances. So that makes New Years Day just like every day! A brand new start.

Windows Of The Past

We came upon these wonderful windows a few days ago. They were in an old Esso building. Remember that Exxon used to be Esso? These were windows of memory of the far away past and more recent past. I DO remember the leg lamps and the hula hoops, what do you remember?

“Thanksgivings will pour out of the windows; laughter will spill through the doors.”

Look Through Any Window - A-Snooping I will Go

Remember the old Hollies song "Look through Any Window"?A few days before Christmas, we drove around being peeping toms gazing through the windows of the neighborhood houses. They were all beautiful!! Here is what we saw.

“Your eyes are windows into your body. If you open your eyes wide in wonder and belief, your body fills up with light. If you live squinty-eyed in greed and distrust, your body is a dank cellar. If you pull the blinds on your windows, what a dark life you will have!

My Secret is OUT!!!

We spent Christmas at the house of our son and his family. And I will finally tell you our secret. We now have THREE grandchildren!! This means that Anne Marie has two sisters. The babies were taken in as foster children, and now our kids are in the process of adopting them!  They are adorable and loving. I have not told you because we are not allowed to show ANY pictures of them until the adoption paperwork is finished (a Social Services rule). So I spent the day telling them to look AWAY from the camera!! SO, enjoy the pictures of our day with no faces of our new grandchildren.

Here is Anne Marie, she is growing so fast! She is posing in her new gymnastics outfit.

Someone gave her a deck of real playing cards with her face on the backs!

Still not too old for piggy back rides! Phil's poor back!

Our son chowing down and enjoying the ruckus.

The Kitty Keyboard we gave them was a big hit. They all wanted it at once until Phil took it played "The Teddy Bears Picnic" on it!

And here I am getting a big hug and saying goodbye to Christmas 2014!

“These children are at the very center of life in the kingdom. Mark this: Unless you accept God’s kingdom in the simplicity of a child, you’ll never get in.” Then, gathering the children up in his arms, he laid his hands of blessing on them.”

For Unto Us (and for us) A Child Is Born

“For a child has been born—for us! The gift of a son—for us! He’ll take over the running of the world. His names will be: Amazing Counselor, Strong God, Eternal Father, Prince of Wholeness. His ruling authority will grow, and there’ll be no limits to the wholeness he brings. He’ll rule from the historic David throne over that promised kingdom.”

Wishing each and every one of my wonderful blog friends a warm and wonderful Christmas. And a working camera so we can all look at each other's Christmas pictures in a few days! God Bless you.

Chomp!

Having two cats, we knew we would never be able to put up our big tree with the beautiful glass ornaments. Then we saw this little tree at Goodwill. It flashes fiber optic lights, spins around, and has lights inside the ball ornaments. It was worth a try! The rest of the story will be told by Sunny himself.

HEY, what is THAT??

This is the biggest cat toy I have ever seen!! I had better check it out, but keep an eye out to see if anyone will yell at me.

Wow, this tastes delicious! And these balls are even better! Chomp chomp chomp...

Well, you can guess the rest of the story, since those balls were glass. Tree down, cat sad. He looked for it all day. Too bad I can't find a Christmas tree made for cats...

“When the Woman saw that the tree looked like good eating and realized what she would get out of it—she’d know everything!—she took and ate the fruit and then gave some to her husband, and he ate.

Forsythia!

The Forsythia are blooming now, and seem to scream joy and sunshine. Here are ones in town. This is our little one in the front yard. This ...
