Chomp!

Having two cats, we knew we would never be able to put up our big tree with the beautiful glass ornaments. Then we saw this little tree at Goodwill. It flashes fiber optic lights, spins around, and has lights inside the ball ornaments. It was worth a try! The rest of the story will be told by Sunny himself.

HEY, what is THAT??

This is the biggest cat toy I have ever seen!! I had better check it out, but keep an eye out to see if anyone will yell at me.

Wow, this tastes delicious! And these balls are even better! Chomp chomp chomp...

Well, you can guess the rest of the story, since those balls were glass. Tree down, cat sad. He looked for it all day. Too bad I can't find a Christmas tree made for cats...

“When the Woman saw that the tree looked like good eating and realized what she would get out of it—she’d know everything!—she took and ate the fruit and then gave some to her husband, and he ate.
Genesis 3

That's too bad!!! I never thought about cats being a problem to trees! We have had cats for the last 25 years and I can only remember one time that a cat got in our tree! She was a kitten then and learned not to do that!

Your header photo is great Ginny. How sad you've had to get rid of your tree. It looked lovely but there you go, kitties have to be protected from themselves at times.

Hello, Hope you are having a wonderful December and will have a blessed Christmas… This is such a joyful time of year for so many—but it’s also the time when others experience a deep loneliness, and struggle during the holidays for many reasons. SO—today I ask you to stop what you are doing for a few minutes and say a prayer for someone you know who might be experiencing a hard time now… OR—better still, send them a card or give them a call. It will mean the world to them.

That's a shame... Some people seem to have lots of Christmas decorations and their cats don't bother anything. Wonder why????

Merry Christmas to you and yours.
Hugs,
Betsy

You did the right thing, Ginny...cats seem to have a fascination with trees, I am not sure why, but they just do. I love your header. :)

I'm sorry you couldn't leave your tree up. Mine is still standing but a few ornaments have been broken...by the youngest furkid.
If I don't get by again, I'll wish you and Phil a very Merry Christmas!

aw, too bad, it's a cute tree. Over the years with all the different cats and dogs I've had there was only 1 cat that ever really bothered the tree.

Hahahaha oh, Sunny, you looked so fascinated to see the big toy..eh, tree! Too bad it's taken away! When we had tree long time ago, my boys went chomping, too. That tree is kept in attic since then. Love your header - so adorable :-)

Haha, so cute that you caught that whole scenario with the camera. It's priceless! I guess we were thinking alike - I just saw that you left a comment on my site while I was visiting yours :)
