Patience

We were driving down the street when we saw a cat dash across a yard. Being curious, we stopped. He had chased a squirrel up a tree.

He meowed "Come down, come DOWN."

At this point, we had to leave.  On the way back home quite awhile later, we drove by again. They were still there, in a standoff.  The cat had not given up! But tiring, he laid down.

The squirrel was tired too. He had chosen a comfy branch stump to rest on, high up in the tree. Patience was the name of the game in this chase.

“Meanwhile, friends, wait patiently for the Master’s Arrival.”

Oh my gosh, that is so funny. I'm surprised that the cat didn't follow the squirrel up the tree. I love the markings on his face. A very pretty cat.

So patient of you to stop the car and see what's going on with the two furry animals! I have seen a lot of squirrels in my sister's place, along the road, on the street wires, trees and running into their holes.. :)

oh my, hope they are both safe today... I am a firm believer that cats should not be allowed to roam outside, to much danger out there. unless of course on a ranch or farm.. we have several here that I have come so close to hitting with the car, even though I watch for them... beautiful cat and cute squirrel. bob doesn't agree with me, he always had outdoor cats

How in the world did you 'catch' that it was so cool. And you are right - we must patiently wait for Jesus!
Have a good weekend! Sandie

Wow, you captured the greatest moments of standoff! Both of them are very patient - I wonder who won eventurally :-) The kitty is gorgeous. His fur looks amazing!

That's funny. The squirrel could just scamper on up the tree and down at a different place.
