The Faces

We went to an art gallery/cafe last week, and this was their exhibit. "Body & Bread" By Ashley Florence.  Loaves of bread that look like different faces. Don't worry, even after seeing these, I'll still eat bread!

“Each of the cherubim had four faces: the first, of an angel; the second, a human; the third, a lion; the fourth, an eagle.”

Haha, I love it. At least they are human! Look what I found in my kitchen once after baking bread: https://thecafesucrefarine.com/cranberry-pecan-five-minute-artisan-bread/ (scroll down the page to the last picture) :)

now I am wondering if someone created these or they just happened. I can't believe we have bread sculptures in a museum. I much prefer the wine and crackers that are your background today. love love the crackers

Oh my goodness I have never seen anything like that before - were they made that way on purpose - I guess so. Interesting. sandie

Very interesting! I'm wondering if these just happened to turn out this way. It's hard to imagine putting a face into dough and it staying that way.

Were these accidents or did someone set out to make them look like this? Interesting either way

Eek...they look spooky to me.

That's interesting.I'm thankful that none of the bread I've made over the years has had a face.

Wow, this is very interesting. A bread art! I wonder if those loaves will be eaten later or they are just an exhibit :-) Next time I eat bread, I'm sure these images will come to my mind lol.

I so wish I had taken photos of the deformed apples I pick...one year the girls doing the grading and I had a whole line up of deformed apples. Some reminded me of Popeye.
