Winter, Flu, And Groundhogs

This is what our local T.V. news showed this today. The groundhog predicts six more weeks of winter. He is only right 39% of the time.

We have quite a few groundhogs around here.

Forget when spring starts. We need a critter to predict when the flu season will be over!

“He spreads snow like a white fleece, he scatters frost like ashes, He broadcasts hail like birdseed— who can survive his winter? Then he gives the command and it all melts; he breathes on winter—suddenly it’s spring!”
Psalm 147

We had a groundhog living under our shed for a while last summer. He eventually moved out. I wonder if he could have given a better prediction than Phil.
The flu is bad this year. I've heard of so many people ending up in the hospital with it. Just this week there were two people who called off with it. I'm hoping none of them share it with me

So true! There's only One who can predict how long winter (or anything else for that matter) will last.

I hate to admit this, but the flu season is a bigger problem around here than the prospect of six more weeks of winter.

We don't have ground hogs over here but I like the look of them, cheeky looking little monkeys.

Love that Psalm!

39% of the time? Those sound like bad odds.

I have to laugh at the predictions...shadow = 6 more weeks of winter ... no shadow = 6 weeks 'til spring. What's the difference?

Anyway LOVE your images today Ginny! They're cute.

That darn groundhog!!! I've only seen groundhogs on TV. I am soooo ready for spring.
Ginny I'm so sorry...I accidentally deleted your comment from my latest post!

Have a beautiful day!
Blessings, Joanne

I hope Phil is wrong with his prediction!
But I agree, end of flu season is more important!
