A Peaceful, Easy Feelin'

Earlier this spring, we discovered this beautiful place. It is a large park with two large ponds. We just parked and drank it all in.

A bluebird was going back and forth tirelessly to feed her babies. She looked skinny from all her trips to find insects.

We thought we had parked far enough away that we wouldn't bother her. But uh-oh! Busted!

The Big Potato

What ARE all these people taking pictures of?

It is the giant Idaho Potato! Here I am posing with it. It is just plain BIG! It travels the country to promote the Idaho Potato industry.

Of course it is not real. But if it was, it would have taken over 10,000 years to grow,  would take 2 years and 9 months to bake, and would make over 30,000 servings of mashed potatoes.

Did you say exercise...or extra fries?

“The steward agreed to do it and fed them vegetables and water for ten days. At the end of the ten days they looked better and more robust than all the others who had been eating from the royal menu. So the steward continued to exempt them from the royal menu of food and drink and served them only vegetables.”

Update On Me

After going to the E.R., I was admitted to the hospital for a week. I just got home today!  I  had three teams of doctors consisting of digestive, infectious disease, and surgeons. They gave me large doses of I.V. drugs, and I am now on meds at home. I am still weak and nauseous, and will need further recovery. Thank you so much for your caring comments and prayers! I am still not well enough to post or visit, but hopefully I will be in just a few days.  I love you guys!

E.R.

It is Thursday morning, and I am headed back to the E.R. with another attack of diverticulitis. Don't know if they will do surgery, or admit me, or send me home with meds. I will let you know when I get home. Love you guys!

Bumper Buddha

What's this?

A long time ago, I posted this guy. He is made from vehicle bumpers, and is called The Bumper Buddha. For many years, he sat in front of a church. But the church is being renovated, and he had to go. So a local art park took him and put him on their roof, where he now watches over everything.

Here he is at his old home.

It's a Mad Mad World

This post is dedicated to my good blog friend The Madsnapper. Because there are a lot of places around here that would be perfect for her. First, we have The Mad House.

It is actually the recreation center for a bunch of apartments.

Recently, I discovered Madville. So it seems the whole city is quite mad.

Mother's Day 2018

Me and our son Mike. He brought me flowers and a Starbucks card!

Anne Marie is now almost as tall as I am!!

Jazz & Dara were too fast to catch, so here is a recent picture of them from a short while ago.

Sun Day - The Hole

It all started when I saw this hole in the clouds. And it just got better after that.

Mother & Father Earth

Once a year, the local museum shows artwork from the most talented kids in school. This bird is mixed media made by a 9th grader. It is called "Mother Earth".

Then we have this. I am guessing maybe "Father Earth?" Front...

Side...

And back...

The Exbury

Well, what have we here? Something peeking out from the edge of my photo.

This is the Exbury Azalea,  this color is called Gibraltar. Exburys are not well known, and not very popular.  In fact, I had never seen any in my whole life until last week! I saw two in one week. Maybe people are finally catching on.
